OUR CURRICULUM OVERVIEW

As your child’s teacher plans their lessons based upon the Michigan Grade Level Content Expectaions (GLCES), they use other resources to support and guide the lessons and enhance your student’s understanding. Some resources include:

Literacy- Fountas and Pinnell “Guiding Reader and Writers”

Writing Workshop- Our school uses Lucy Calkin’s writing resources and “Mastering the Mechanics” as well as other supplemental materials.

Mathematics- Our school uses Everyday Mathematics Math curriculum as well as other supplemental materials.

Social Studies- Our school uses Social Studies Alive curriculum as well as other supplement materials.

Science- Our school uses Battle Creek Science curriculum as well as other supplement materials.
